DESCRIPTION: 

Generative Artificial Intelligence is a form of artificial intelligence that can create text, images, or other media, using generative models. In this session, different types of Generative AI will be identified. Participants will discuss the potential of generative AI and what it means to be an artist. Through this hands-on session, participants will dive into a generative AI exploration using the digital design platform, Canva. At the end of the ssions, educators will feel equipped to integrate Canva's AI tools into the classroom. Be prepared to create!

PRESENTER BIO:


Dani DeGraw is an elementary technology coach in Livingston Public Schools. She currently focuses on technology integration in the classroom K through 5th grade, and also teaches STEAM. Dani has taught P.E. and health, and robotics and coding at the middle school level in Summit, New Jersey. Currently, she is finishing her second year of the Educational Technology Leadership doctoral program at NJCU. Her dissertation topic is looking at digital storytelling assessments as an alternative to traditional assessments at the elementary level. She looks forward to analyzing the results of this study and using it to inspire teachers to implement technology into their classrooms.
