NEWS: NEDLA is shutting downDear NEDLA Community, It is with a mixture of gratitude and sadness that I write to share some important news: after more than 20 years, NEDLA (formerly PADLA) — the Northeast Digital Learning Association — will be dissolving. NEDLA was founded to bring together the educators and innovators who were shaping the future of learning in the Northeast, and for many years it did exactly that. The conferences, conversations, and collaborations that happened under this banner made a real difference. When our long-time Executive Director retired, we worked hard to keep that momentum going — but membership and sponsorship participation declined significantly, and we have reached the point where continuing the organization is no longer sustainable. I want to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you. Whether you attended an event, served on a committee, sponsored a program, or simply stayed connected as a member — you were NEDLA. That community and those relationships do not disappear with the organization. Our parent organization, the USDLA, has reached out with an invitation to stay connected at the national level, and I hope you will consider it: --- Dear NEDLA members, The United States Distance Learning Association is inviting you to join their association or one of their state chapters. Please visit https://usdla.org/ or https://usdla.org/chapters/ to learn more. Thanks, Pat Cassella USDLA Executive Director and Past-President 203-980-6928 --- Thank you for everything. It has been an honor. Warmly, Douglas J. Koch, EdDExecutive Director, NEDLA |
