Biography
Adrienne Tymiak is a former Executive Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) with a passion for mentoring youth and leveraging science and technology for societal benefit. She received a B.A. degree in Biochemistry from Cornell University, a M.S. degree in Chemical Oceanography from Florida State University and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-
Champaign. Working in the pharmaceutical industry for over 35 years, Adrienne served in a variety of scientific and strategic leadership roles. During her tenure as a biopharmaceutical executive, Adrienne remained active in education, by serving as Director of the Squibb Center for Science Education, volunteering for Rush Holt’s Science Advisor team supporting high school science teachers and participating in numerous community outreach activities on behalf of Squibb, BMS and the American Chemical Society. Currently, Adrienne consults as a science and technology advisor and serves as Treasurer and Board member for HiTOPS, a Princeton-based organization that provides sex education and support for youth of all identities. She has been a mentor and board advisor for the Collective Success Network (CSN) since 2018 and now joins Nancy Li as co-Executive Director for CSN, a Philadelphia-based non-profit organization supporting low-income first-generation college students. In response to the pandemic, both HiTOPS and CSN have transitioned to virtual programming and are now positioned to reach a broader audience.
